As humans we are imbued with the power of free will. This definitely gives us an edge over our less self-determined fellow Earthlings, but as you might have noticed, it can be a double-edged sword. In our world of ever-expanding choices, with so many interests vying for our attention practically every minute of the day, it's not surprising that we can easily fall prey to decision fatigue. To me, this is that place where we've just run low on willpower and the energy to discern and we begin to just give in to the easiest, most convenient option because, frankly, we just have no more shits to give.
